The five year prorated warranty covers the treated asphalt shingles and the extend of its life by five years past the expected life of the shingles in the environment they are in from the date of your treatment. Your asphalt shingles will perform as originally designed and warranted by the shingle manufacturer. Some owners want to stop the aging process on older shingles, depending on how old they are we may not be able to warranty a shingle that is starting to show signs of extreme aging. This warranty is not for leaks, faulty installation, or other damages sustained by the roof (hail, high winds). This warranty is still valid even if your manufacturer’s warranty is (or becomes) void due to time or transfer restrictions
